How R360scope works

Job-site photos in. A Xactimate estimate out.

Stop rebuilding estimates from scratch. Photograph the loss the way you already document a claim, and get back a ready-to-import .esx with rooms, line items and quantities scoped for you.

Three steps, start to finish

No new workflow to learn — if you can document a claim, you can use R360scope.

1

Capture the loss

Walk each affected room and photograph it the way you'd document a claim — wide shots of every wall, the ceiling and floor, plus close-ups of the damage and any moisture readings.

2

AI scopes the estimate

Upload the photos. R360scope identifies rooms, dimensions, line items and quantities, and matches them to the Xactimate price list — the same logic your best estimator uses, in minutes.

3

Review & download .esx

Check the line-item report, adjust anything you want, and download a ready-to-import .esx — or convert an existing Xactimate PDF back into an editable file.

What photos to take

The quality of the estimate follows the quality of the photos. Here's the shot list.

Every affected roomOne pass per room — don't skip closets, hallways or bathrooms.
Whole walls in frameStand back so a full wall, the ceiling line and the floor are visible.
Close-ups of damageWater lines, swelling, staining, mold, cracked or missing materials.
Moisture-meter readingsPhotograph the meter on the surface so the reading is legible.
Flooring & transitionsCapture flooring type and where it changes between rooms.
Source & category cluesThe leak source, affected ceilings, and any containment in place.

✓ Do

  • Shoot in good light — open blinds or use your flash.
  • Hold the phone steady; let it focus before each shot.
  • Get the whole room, then step in for the damage.
  • Include a reference for scale where it helps.

✕ Avoid

  • Blurry, dark, or extremely tight crops only.
  • Skipping rooms or photographing just the worst spot.
  • Heavy filters or screenshots of other apps.
  • Photos that cut off the ceiling and floor.

What you get

Everything you need to move the claim forward.

Questions, answered

How many photos should I take?

More is better — there's no penalty for extra angles. A typical single-family water loss is 30–80 photos. The AI ignores duplicates and uses the clearest views.

What file types work?

JPG, PNG and HEIC straight from any phone. Photos are resized on our servers, so you don't need to compress anything first.

Do I need to measure rooms myself?

No. The AI estimates dimensions from your wide shots. If you already have measurements, you can add them on the form for a tighter result.

Can I edit the estimate before downloading?

Yes. The review screen lets you adjust line items and quantities; the .esx reflects your changes and imports straight into Xactimate.

I only have a printed PDF estimate — can you help?

Yes. Use “From a Xactimate PDF” to convert a finished estimate PDF back into an importable, editable .esx.
